We will be having another bar-b-que picnic on July 4, 2024. Please sign up in the Office, the price is $15.00 cash. We will be serving pulled pork, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, cole slaw, beans and dessert. June 24th is the cutoff date to sign up so we can purchase the supplies necessary. We had a successful Memorial Day picnic with 75 people attending.
We are continuing to curb our rat problem by removing certain trees. The rats are climbing the trees to eat the fruits and berries and are also eating from bird feeders. Please stop feeding any animals and keep the base of your bushes and trees cleaned out so that they don't harbor the rats that use them as a breeding ground. Fruit trees and areca palms are not permitted. If you don't keep the base of your areca palms cleaned out they will be removed. Call the Office if you have any questions.
The Board of Directors will no longer authorize the buying of a second unit in accordance with our rules and bylaws.
We will also be enforcing the 2-year rental rule in accordance with our rules and bylaws.
A new owner cannot rent their unit for 2 years after purchasing their unit.
Effective August 1, 2024, annually, owners must apply to the Office their intent to rent. Owners must include a check for $150.00 for new renters. You can rent 1 time a year from 3-6 months. For e.g. If you start renting on December 10, then you cannot rent again until the following December 10.
We still maintain the lowest maintenance and assessment amounts of all the High Point Associations.
We monitor the water bills for all our buildings for excessive water use when a bill is higher than normal. Some of the time it is from a toilet which is running constantly and other times it is because a resident has hooked up a sprinkler. Other times a resident will use the hose to water their entire lawn, which is wasting water since the sprinklers are usually on every night.
We pay for the tap water from the outside spigots, and not for our sprinkler system which comes from our wells. So being wasteful just adds to our expense. Please be conscientious when using the tap water from our outside spigots.
Please do not call Board members at home unless it is an emergency. In a serious emergency call 911. The Office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11am. We do monitor the Office answering machine every day.
If someone is staying at your house and you are not there, you are obligated to notify the Office. One person must be 55 or older that is staying in the household.
Finally, any alterations outside the house e.g. windows, patios, etc. requires an alteration form to be filled out and approved by the Board of Directors. We have a separate form for patios. These forms and more information can be obtained from our website at highpointsection6.com.
If you need to submit a work order you can get a blank work order in the office, or on the counter of our kitchen in the club house or you can submit a work order by emailing highpoint6sec@gmail.com
Our office hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-11am. If the office is closed you can submit any work orders, paperwork, checks, etc. into our locked mailbox to the left of our front door or the slot in our office door.
